What Time Is It? is getting a major upgrade.

We're replacing v1 with a brand new version — more object types, configurable settings, and a better experience. Here's what you need to know.

Why are we doing this?

HubSpot is requiring all apps to migrate to their latest platform version. Unfortunately, a bug on HubSpot's side has made it impossible for us to update the existing v1 app to the new platform — even after working directly with HubSpot's developer support team.

Rather than wait indefinitely, we decided to rebuild from scratch. The result is What Time Is It? v2 — a better app with features that v1 customers have been asking for.

What's new in v2?

🌐

Multi-Object Support

Works on contacts, companies, deals, tickets, orders, carts, custom objects, and the help desk sidebar — not just contacts.

⚙️

Configurable Properties

Choose which property stores the timezone for each object type via an in-app Settings page.

🧩

Custom Objects

Add your own custom object types and map them to any timezone property in your portal.

🔄

Latest Platform

Built on HubSpot's 2025.2 platform with React-based UI extensions for a faster, more reliable experience.

What do I need to do?

1

Check your email

We'll be sending all v1 customers an email with a coupon code for a free v2 subscription. No charge — ever.

2

Go to the migration page

Visit the migration page, enter your email and coupon code, and click "Activate Free Subscription." You'll go through Stripe checkout at $0.00/month.

3

Install v2 in your portal

After checkout, you'll receive an installation link. Click it to authorize the new app in your HubSpot portal.

4

Swap the card

On any contact record, click "Customize record" and replace the old "What Time Is It?" card with the new one. The v1 card will continue to work until it's removed from the HubSpot Marketplace.

5

Uninstall v1 (optional)

Once you've confirmed v2 is working, you can uninstall the old app from Settings → Integrations → Connected Apps.

FAQ

Will v1 stop working?

Eventually, yes. HubSpot is deprecating the platform version that v1 runs on. We don't have an exact date, but we strongly recommend migrating sooner rather than later.

Will I have to pay for v2?

No. All existing v1 customers will receive a coupon code for a 100% free subscription to v2. You will never be charged.

Why did the pricing model change?

v2 supports significantly more features, multiple object types, and requires ongoing server infrastructure. A subscription model lets us maintain and improve the app long-term. But as a v1 customer, you're covered for free.

Do I need to reconfigure anything?

For contacts, v2 works the same way out of the box — it reads the default hs_timezone property. If you want to use it on other object types, you can configure the timezone property in the app's Settings page.

I didn't get a coupon code.

Check your spam folder. If you still can't find it, email us at [email protected] and we'll get you sorted.

Can I keep using v1 and v2 at the same time?

Yes, both can be installed simultaneously. Once you're comfortable with v2, you can remove the v1 card and uninstall it.
